The German economic sentiment index released by the Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung determines the sentiment of institutional investors. This indicator shows the difference between the number of optimists and pessimists. ZEW Survey is the main indicator of business conditions. In general, an optimistic outlook is seen as positive (or bullish) for the EUR, whereas a pessimistic outlook is considered as negative (or bearish).
