Goods Trade Balance is the difference between exports and imports of goods over the reporting period in absolute monetary value. In case a country exports more goods than it imports, it has a trade surplus (positive indicator’s value). If imports exceed exports, it’s known as a trade deficit (negative indicator’s value).
