Every month the US Census Bureau publishes data on Retail Sales ex Autos. It is usually regarded as an indicator of consumer confidence. This indicator indclues data about all goods sold in different retail stores excluding the automotive segment. It is an «advanced» report and after final numbers are released, it can be seriously revised. As a rule, positive retail sales data are bullish for the USD.
