The Amazon company released the news about an awaited sale for the members of their loyalty club. This sale is similar to the Prime Day summer marketing blitz organized by Amazon in July and aimed at increasing revenues and luring prudent buyers with restricted budget, who face the consequences of the economic instability.
According to Amazon, the “Prime Early Access Sale” will begin at midnight Pacific Daylight Time (07:00 GTM) on October 11. It’ll take place in 15 countries. The event is planned to take 48 hours.
Jamil Ghani, Vice President of the company, reported during an interview with Reuters that the repetition of such event for the second time this year is reasoned by an unusually early holiday shopping and some macroeconomic factors, which buyers faced.
“Purchasers have an intention to save money”, – said Ghani in the interview.
Ghani denied making revenue forecasts for the upcoming event by comparing it with sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday planned for this autumn, or sales on the Prime Day that was conducted in July.
Such sales, allowed only to the members of the Amazon’s loyalty club, encourage some of its clients to join the club by buying Prime subscriptions and making more purchases on Amazon.
