Boeing waits for more orders to be submitted by airlines from India. The airlines have started their capacity expansion to meet the growing demand in the Indian aviation segment, which is now considered to be the fastest-developing aviation market in the world.
According to the specialists, during the following year, the capacity growth of Indian airlines is expected to be at least by a quarter of the current volumes, as the demand for tourism and transportation is coming back quickly after the pandemic. Boeing forecasts a long-term increase to be about 7% each year, which is faster than in any other growing market.
As said by president of Boeing India Salil Gupte, the company is waiting for more orders from India, noting that the orders for both widebody and narrowbody aircraft are expected.
He also said that Boeing is looking forward to meeting its customers’ expectations and providing them with necessary products as fast as possible, despite some still existing challenges in supply chains.
