The price of bitcoin (BTC) may reach a new peak this year, Polymarket claims. According to the platform, many traders assume an increase in the value of the cryptocurrency above $130,000 by the end of this year. At the moment, the probability of it is standing at 63%.
Currently, BTC price performance is largely driven by the growing interest of institutional investors in bitcoin ETFs.
The most likely outcome for the cryptocurrency, according to the market, is a final value of the token in the range between $110,000 and $130,000 by year-end. Moreover, according to the Polymarket's survey, 18% of respondents allow for a price rise to the $200,000. At the same time, 11% forecast the final value of the token at $250,000.
However, some experts do not share such assumptions. For example, popular bitcoin critic Peter Schiff rules out the possibility of an increase in the value of BTC in the near future, according to U.Today.
