According to yesterday’s report from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), US commercial crude oil inventories, excluding the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, rose by 4 million barrels. The figure reached 441.8 million barrels per week as of May 9.
The volume of feedstock processed at the country's refineries in the corresponding week averaged 16.4 million barrels per day (bpd), up 330,000 bpd compared to the previous week. Refineries operated at 90.2% of their capacity, and gasoline production decreased to an average of 9.4 million bpd.
Crude oil import in the United States amounted to an average of 5.8 million bpd. The figure decreased by 214,000 bpd compared to the previous week. Moreover, total commercial fuel stocks in the country increased by 4.9 million barrels.
