New Zealand companies less pessimistic in September

New Zealand businesses were more positive in September as sentiment improved in the construction sector, according to the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) survey published on Thursday.

The poll showed that 36.7% of respondents expected the economy to decline in the coming year, compared to 47.8% of pessimism in the previous poll in August.

1.8% of respondents expect their own business to decline in the next year, in contrast to 4% last month.
