Sell BTCUSD down to $62,500 amid ETF capital outflows

BTCUSD is now hovering around $64,110, correcting after a recent rebound from the $62,500 support level. The market remains weighed down by the looming expiration of the interim peace deal between the United States and Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz. The two sides failed to extend the truce. The result? Creeping uncertainty in the energy market, which tends to sour risk appetite among investors. This is why cryptocurrencies are under pressure now.

However, Bitcoin has other headwinds as well. Rising competition for capital from the rapidly developing artificial intelligence sector is an additional burden for BTCUSD, as the pair keeps losing money to AI-related stocks and exchange-traded funds. The market has recently seen the largest outflow from spot BTC ETFs in two months.

Bitcoin volumes on global exchanges are currently approaching June peaks. This is another headache. According to Santiment, 84% of previously withdrawn tokens have returned to trading platforms, increasing the supply available for sale. A short-term rally, driven by expectations surrounding a White House meeting with crypto industry leaders, faded quickly in the absence of fresh capital inflows and confident buying activity needed to consolidate above current levels.

Bitcoin’s appeal is also overshadowed by elevated US Treasury yields, which have recently reached multi-year highs. Market participants appear to be more interested in lower‑risk alternatives.

On the technical side, BTCUSD continues to hold above the ascending trendline—the key support level. However, the Stochastic Oscillator is edging closer to overbought territory, limiting further upside without a correction. At the same time, the On-Balance Volume (OBV) Indicator remains in the red, showing no signs of aggressive accumulation. The current growth seems to be technical, unsupported by significant capital inflows.

Take a look at the trading plan down below:

Sell BTCUSD from $64,110. Place Take profit at $62,500 and Stop loss at $65,300.
