Netflix released its Q4 2021 results yesterday, showing an increase in subscribers worldwide of 8.3 million, which is less than the forecast by 200,000. As a result, in 2021 Netflix showed the smallest increase in subscribers for the last 5 years, while the competition in the streaming services market is increasing.

On January 14 there was an increase in subscription prices in the U.S. and Canada, which pleased shareholders, and the stock price rose 2%. Nevertheless, it is becoming increasingly difficult to improve performance in the eyes of investors. Analysts fear that Netflix may be nearing its popularity peak and “good old days may be gone”.

It is possible for the price to rise up to the downtrend resistance, but most likely, the it will continue to decline further.
