Building medium-term buy position in NVIDIA

NVIDIA's outlook for 2026 remains strikingly bullish, with analysts targeting a range of $250 to $310 per share as the AI powerhouse continues to show its strength. The February earnings report left no doubt: corporate revenue hit $68.1 billion in the fourth quarter (Q4) of the fiscal year, a breathtaking 73% jump from the figure seen earlier. Its data center engine roared even louder, climbing 75% to $62.3 billion. With guidance calling for roughly $78 billion next quarter—well above $72.6 billion Wall Street expected—the company's momentum shows no signs of fading.

Let's check in with major financial institutions and see where they are placing their bets:

Goldman Sachs stands pat with a "Buy" rating and a $250 target for NVIDIA stocks.

Evercore ISI is even bolder, forecasting a hike to $352 by year-end.

Cantor Fitzgerald holds firm with its aggressive $300 call.

HSBC, in the meantime, nudged its target down to $310 (from $320), yet the bullish thesis remains intact.

But what's fueling the fire? Three forces are currently at play:

Chip mania. According to NVIDIA, demand for the new B200 and GB200 architectures is "insane", with deliveries already spoken for through mid-2026.

Next generation on deck. The firm is gearing up to unveil the Vera Rubin system, promising a 10x efficiency leap over current technology stacks.

Hyperscaler spending spree. Deep-pocketed partners like Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta keep investing billions in artificial intelligence infrastructure, with no end in sight.

However, there are risks to watch out for:

Competition is heating up. AMD, Intel, and MatX are betting big on custom chips, thus threatening to erode NVIDIA's pricing power over time.

The "AI bubble" chatter isn't going away. With valuations stretched and 2027 looming, any stumble in hardware refresh cycles could rattle even the most loyal supporters.

The ultimate recommendation is to buy NVIDIA stock in the medium term when the price retests the $193 support. Lock in profits at $205. Place Stop Loss at $182.

Calculate your open position so that a potential loss (protected by a Stop Loss order) is limited to 1% of your deposit. If your account balance does not allow entering a position of this size, it is better to skip the trade and wait for other market signals that meet low-risk criteria.
