SB Energy will supply solar power to Google

Alphabet Inc. owns Alphabet Google, which announced that it will purchase about three-quarters of the renewable energy at SB Energy Global's facilities in Texas. The company targets to exploit data centers on carbon-free energy by 2030. That's according to Reuters.

To achieve environmental and sustainability goals, companies are moving to clean energy and transportation in a short period of time.

Alphabet reports that the company, supported by SoftBank Group Corp, will supply power for Google to provide power for data processing centers in Texas. According to data, its capacity will be about 3 GW by the beginning of next year.

It is expected that SB Energy Orion 1, 2 and 3 and Eiffel solar projects will be ready to supply electricity by mid-2024. Their total capacity is estimated at about 1.2 gigawatts (GW).
