Ford EV sales tripled in September with F-150 Lightning leading the segment

Ford's purchases continue to hike, outperforming the industry with a 197% increase. Thus, the manufacturer's rate in the electric vehicle segment rose another 3.1% over a year ago, while market share totalled 7.0%.

Sales of Ford have tripled compared to last year. The F-150 Lightning purchases amounted to 8,760 since its release in June 2022. That said, the truck still holds the bar for the best-selling vehicle in the U.S.

Ford’s head of sales Andrew Frick commented on the current industry situation: "In September, the company continued to show strong sales performance as Ford electric vehicles are in high demand. As a result, our corporation maintains its leadership in trucks, including electric ones. The orders’ number is constantly growing. Therefore, we are satisfied with the work of our staff, particularly due to the recent events. Ford's recovery in Florida is well underway, given the devastation from Hurricane Ian.”
