Ethereum Foundation (EF), a non-profit organization of developers operating on the eponymous platform, has outlined its development goals for the current year. The world's second largest cryptocurrency ecosystem is expecting several significant changes, which will mark a new stage of its evolution, CoinMarketCap reports.
In their statement, Ethereum board members Aya Miyaguchi and Vitalik Buterin emphasized the platform's key values and operating principles. They intend to improve user interaction with the Ethereum ecosystem and make it more accessible, reliable, and free in the near future. EF officials compare their platform to a “world computer”, or a vast digital space for growth and cooperation.
One of the first significant changes for Ethereum was the leadership team structure. Hsiao-Wei Wang and Tomasz K. Stanczak have become co-executive directors.
The ecosystem's goals for this year should help it cope with the current crisis. EF identifies three key areas: scaling Ethereum’s Layer 1 mainnet and data availability, as well as improving user experience.
