Institutional demand for bitcoin ETFs outpaces new supply — Cryptocurrency Press

US spot bitcoin ETFs posted record-breaking purchases of the cryptocurrency last week. In total, ETFs acquired 21,030 BTC, while miners produced only 3,150 BTC. BlackRock and Fidelity's funds were among the top buyers. Cryptocurrency Press believes this highlights growing interest in bitcoin among major financial players.

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund emerged as the primary buyers, driving institutional demand growth. According to Nate Geraci, President of ETF Store, total inflows into bitcoin ETFs are now approaching $50 billion. These massive purchases have directly impacted bitcoin's price, pushing it to $107,400.

The shrinking available supply amid surging demand is creating a liquidity shortage effect. As noted by Cryptocurrency Press analysts, historically such a situation has led to sustained price growth.
