The present indicator estimates the set price of consumer goods and services by calculating the price changes for these goods and services in relative terms over the reporting period. The indicator is important in determining inflation. An increase in index values may cause an increase in the country’s interest rates.
An increase of the indicator value may contribute to the rise in quotes of JPY.
