U.S. labor market news pending

S&P 500

Investors are expected to focus on the U.S. unemployment statistics update scheduled for Friday, October 7. 

In case of the country's unemployment rate rising, it could point to a possible monetary  easing by the Federal Reserve System (Fed). That would be great news for the U.S. stock market. If the unemployment remains low, the regulator is likely to continue hiking interest rates.
