The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has shifted its focus from combating inflation to addressing new economic risks. RBA governor Michelle Bullock is already adjusting monetary policy in preparation for a possible interest rate reduction in light of current economic conditions.

April inflation in Australia came slightly higher than analysts’ forecasts. The Australian Bureau of Statistics reports that the consumer price index remained at 2.4%, with economists having expected it to fall to 2.3%.
Adam Button, who heads Forexlive's analytical department, in an interview with BNN Bloomberg on Monday stated his opinion that the Canadian dollar will strengthen to $0.74 by the end of the year. He attributed this appreciation to the increasing uncertainty in global financial markets.
