Tesla leads in number of battery-electric vehicles in Germany

The Tesla company became a leader in the number of battery-electric vehicles registered in Germany during a period of the first nine months of the current year. According to federal data, the company accounted for almost 38,500 vehicles of that type, which is about 6,000 more than the Volkswagen brand had.

The volume of registration of Tesla battery-electric vehicles has soared by nearly 50% compared to the same period last year, whereas Volkswagen’s performance has declined by 40% and reached the level slightly higher than 32,300.

Tesla managed to achieve record levels of deliveries all over the world, but certain logistic challenges, which the company met on its way, affected the number of deliveries of the American electric car manufacturer, and its third quarter volume turned out to be less than it was forecasted by analysts.
