Buying EURUSD from 1.1640 support

The latest government data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), due on April 8, is delivering something investors have been waiting for with bated breath: genuine indications of stabilization on the inflation front. Let's break down the numbers and explain why traders liked what they heard.

The headline Consumer Price Index (CPI) remained parked at 2.4% year-on-year. This marks the second month in a row without a budge—remarkable given the energy cost whiplash that kicked off 2026. For an overly sensitive market, such steadiness is a welcome anchor.

Core inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy prices, came in at 2.5%. This is the number that truly matters because it captures stubborn service and rental outlays. For the first time in a while, those pressures are showing genuine signs of easing.

On a month-over-month basis, the index rose just 0.2%—a perfect match with analyst forecasts. No drama, no deviation. Just solid execution.

Why did the euro pop? Blame the lack of bad news.

Inflation didn't spike, and this changed everything. Traders are now factoring in a pause in the Federal Reserve's (Fed) interest rate hike cycle at the next meeting with over 80% confidence. This strips the dollar of its main weapon—yields. As Treasury returns retreat, the euro suddenly looks more attractive to global investors.

Here's the bottom line: the monetary split between the American regulator and the European Central Bank (ECB) is starting to shrink. If the CPI stays contained, the Fed could be forced to ease earlier than markets had braced for. Such a scenario would likely push EURUSD higher over the medium term.

The ultimate recommendation is to buy EURUSD from the 1.1640 support. Lock in profits at 1.1790. Place Stop Loss at 1.1575.

Calculate your open position so that a potential loss (protected by a Stop Loss order) is limited to 1% of your deposit. If your account balance does not allow entering a position of this size, it is better to skip the trade and wait for other market signals that meet low-risk criteria.
