Amazon.com Inc released a contactless device capable of tracking a person's sleep, and also upgraded its line of voice-controlled electronic devices and e-readers.
Called Halo Rise and priced at $139.99, the sleep device will track temperature in a room, humidity and light levels, as well as take into account the features of the nearest person’s breathing, according to the Internet giant. The purpose of this electronic device is to give users an idea of why they feel unwell or well-rested after waking up.
In addition, Amazon.com Inc is planning to explore health conditions more widely, as evidenced by their July announcement to buy primary care provider One Medical for $3.5 billion.
Along with betting on health, the company announced at its virtual devices showing a new Kindle e-book device with a stylus to annotate books digitally.
Among other electronic devices, the online retailer also announced refreshed versions of its in-home and in-car speakers with voice control and up-to-date gadgets to connect to the Internet.
