Apple announced that it will hold a press conference to unveil the new iPhone 14 line. The event is scheduled to take place on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. ET.
The event will be streamed via the company's official website. Starting in 2020, Apple puts on virtual conferences of its products due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company also sends out invites for an in-person event at its campus in Cupertino, California.
In addition to the updated iPhone lineup, the company may launch the newest Apple Watch and AirPods. According to reports, Apple is also preparing to introduce new Mac and iPad versions. However, a launch event for these gadgets is usually conducted at a separate event in October.
Apple is expected to unveil four new iPhones at once, which might actually be called the iPhone 14. An important feature will be that the new devices will have advanced camera capabilities. The more expensive version — iPhone 14 Pro — will abandon the outdated bangs. Their design will differ as the cutout at the top of the device's display will be more of an oval. The iPhone 14 Pro will reportedly feature an always-on display mode.
Analysts will be tracking the prices of Apple's new products to draw conclusions about whether the pricing was influenced by supply chain disruptions and high inflation or not.
Besides, Apple may launch a new Apple Watch — Series 8. As reported by Bloomberg, Apple is also planning to release a more rugged “pro” version of the watch with a more expensive price tag. Allegedly, the current generation of the watch may have a body temperature sensor in it to track the user's sleep and fertility.
In addition, Apple usually releases a new version of iOS after a major fall event. This year, users can personalize their lock screen due to the new software. The iOS update also gives users the ability to edit and delete sent messages.
