Apple backs off plan for iPhone production increase

Apple Inc. is not planning to boost production of new iPhones this year. The company expected demand to surge. However, the forecast turned out to be inaccurate.

The company addressed suppliers asking them to cut production of its flagship iPhone 14 line by 6 million units in the second half of the year.
