On Wednesday, it was announced that the Boeing company finalized an order for 10 777-8 model aircraft. The order was placed by Cargolux, a Luxembourgian flag carrier cargo airline, which is one of the most significant Europe airlines of this type. Cargolux has ordered Boeing’s brand new model of a freighter to renew its fleet and replace its 747-400 cargo aircraft.
The company’s decision to choose the 777-8 model was made known at the Farnborough International Airshow held this year.
The mentioned deal was previously available for observation on the plane’maker’s orders and deliveries website. The deal was registered as an unidentified one and valued at nearly $4.1 billion at list prices.
By this moment, Boeing has received more than 50 orders for their new freighters, which were launched at the beginning of the current year.
