Exxon Mobil engaged in negotiations on the purchase of oil & gas operator Denbury

Exxon Mobil Corp

Exxon Mobil Corporation plans to acquire the oil & gas operator Denbury Inc and prepares for negotiations dedicated to this. 

Denbury is mostly specialized in the usage of carbon dioxide for extraction of oil from old wells. Exxon Mobil sees Denbury as an asset that could be interesting for major oil and energy firms following the ESG principles.  

Potential buyers are also expected to be attracted by Denbury's pipelines and the potential for storage on the Gulf Coast.
