Ford is upgrading its heavy-duty commercial pick-up trucks

Ford Motor Company has shared the information on a new variety of its Super Duty pick-up truck, shedding light on how the American car manufacturer is going to deal with one of the most prominent problems Detroit is now facing.

The problem is the following: is there a way to upgrade the biggest combustion pick-up trucks while keeping demand high and profits high without excessive resource spending at a time when a car manufacturer should invest into electric cars and plants which produce batteries.

The latest version of Super Duty has a variety of functions and features which are directly related to software for business efficiency and connectivity. According to the company’s belief, it will aid in generating revenue over the whole lifetime of the vehicle. As it was highlighted by Ford Chief Executive Jim Farley, the features driven by software is highly important, and due to this fact he is now hiring more executives who have relevant experience in a field of digital commerce.
