The U.S. Energy Information Administration released the Short-Term Energy Outlook. It states that in 2022 the production and demand for blue flame natural gas in the USA will reach a record level.
According to the Administration's forecasts, if in 2021 the consumption of gas was 84,01 BCF/D, in 2022 it will increase to 88,39 BCF/D. In 2023, it will reduce again to 85,08 BCF/D.
As for the gas output, in 2022 it will grow to 98,07 BCF/D. In 2023, this figure will increase to 99,69 BCF/D. In 2021, the amount of gas output was only 94,57 BCF/D.
New forecasts for 2022 are different from the October ones. In October, supply was expected to be 97.56 BCF/D, and demand was 87.89 BCF/D. In 2021, the export of blue flame natural gas was 9,76 BCF/D.
This is less than October forecasts for 11,01 BCF/D. Such a forecast was made under the influence of an outage in the Freeport plant in Texas.
