Amazon cloud subsidiary in Mexico to launch "local zone" in early 2023

Amazon Web Services Mexico (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com Inc., will build a local data center in the first quarter of 2023. AWS local zones will allow customers to increase the network's bandwidth. Luis Velasco, country director for Mexico of Amazon Web Services, announced the expansion of local zones.

The data center uses a type of infrastructure deployment that refers to "local zones." They are designed to run real-time game sessions, store data on remote servers, create entertainment content, and perform engineering simulations.

AWS Mexico also confirms expansion plans for Guadalajara and Monterrey. The new offices will be completed between January and March 2023. The division is building alliances with local companies to increase its activities in the country.

It is a well-known fact that Mexico is considered the fourth most important cloud market after the U.S., Canada, and Brazil.
