The indicator assesses the difference in the amounts of payments that were made by the country abroad during the reporting period and received in the country during the same period.
A surplus indicates that capital inflows into the country exceed outflows, while a deficit indicates the opposite trend.
An increase of the indicator value may contribute to the rise in quotes of EUR.
