Export of Russian oil will reach 260 million tons by 2025

According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak, in 2025 the export of Russian oil may increase to 260 million tons. In an interview with the news agency TASS, he said that the volume of gas supplies to the east will jump to 48 billion cubic meters. He added that oil exports will rise to 260 million tons by 2025 at the expense of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

Novak noted that gas supplies would also increase. Through the Power of Siberia project, it will be possible to increase the amount of fuel supplies to eastern countries. Export will jump to 48 billion cubic meters by 2025. By 2030 it could reach 88 billion.

In the interview, Novak said that the world cannot exist without Russian energy resources. His reasoning for this was that the Russian Federation is one of the largest energy producers. He said that Russia is responsible for almost a quarter of the world's exports of both gas and oil, and it is also one of the top three Coal Producing Countries.
