Next year, gasoline prices will likely be much lower. However, on average in the country, they still can exceed the $4 per gallon level. As per GasBuddy predictions shared with CNN, this will likely happen in May.
The good news is that GasBuddy doesn’t predict the return of this year’s insane fluctuations when the gasoline prices sharply hiked and exceeded the $5 per gallon level. This hike caused the fear of recession, strengthened inflation, and decreased consumer confidence.
Main Street, Wall Street, and the White House closely monitor the national average for regular gas. In 2023, it will drop to $3.49 per gallon. Such a figure is 50 less than this year’s indications.
The bad news is that GasBuddy expects an increase in the national average. The company predicts a growth from the current level of $3.10 per gallon to $3.52 - 4.05 in May, when gasoline is in high demand.
