Tesla is improving the efficiency and charging speed of electric cars

A software update for electric cars manufactured by Tesla Inc. was released over the weekend. It introduces improvements to Sentry Mode and Dog Mode, charging, radio stations and driver's door unlock mode.

The update began on Saturday, and the latest version helped to improve the car's efficiency during Supercharging. The update should also help to make Tesla charging faster with non-Tesla DC fast chargers.

In the notes to the new update, Tesla wrote that it has optimized the thermal system controls for each power charging station during fast charging. This has improved the efficiency of charging and pre-conditioning the battery during vehicle operation. As a result, it allows the battery to charge quickly and reduce energy costs.

Besides improving supercharging efficiency, Tesla has also changed Sentry Mode and Dog Mode. Now they can work in tandem with each other. Both modes can be activated simultaneously. Alarms in Sentry Mode are disabled if activated in Dog Mode.
