Tesla Inc. is planning to double car sales in Germany. The company management expects sales to be 80,000 units this year, as reported Sunday by German weekly Automobilwoche, given the data from a manager of the company.
According to the publication, the electric vehicle manufacturer delivered 39,714 units in Germany, the Europe's largest national economy. The company will continue to move toward the goal of a 100% increase in sales each year.
During this year ending August, Tesla Inc.has sold 24,734 electric cars in Germany. At the same time, as the report says, the company is aiming to grow and increase the number of customers by opening stores and taking service to the next level.
The company is planning to increase vehicle sales volume after the customers were given the first Tesla Model Ys by CEO Elon Musk in March. They were built on Tesla's electric car factory located just outside Berlin. According to the report from the broadcaster RBB released earlier this week, expansion of the Tesla plant has been delayed as the local municipal council postponed a vote on the development plan.
