Walmart joins the meta universe with Roblox

The Roblox meta universe platform is extremely popular among little kids. On Monday, the retail giant announced that it is launching two fascinating online experiments with it.

Covid-19 has created the next generation of customers and consumers by changing their habits. It has boosted electronic commerce sales and Walmart stated that it aims to match them.

"Walmart Land" will present for sale "verch" for avatars corresponding to real products in Walmart stores. According to the store's plan, Noah Schnapp, star of the TV series "Very Stranger Things," will present a quiz, a virtual dressing room and a music festival with popular artists.

The second experiment will be the Walmart Universe of Play. It is going to represent immersive games for the holiday season with characters from the most popular toys by LOL Surprise!, Paw Patrol and others.

Basically, Walmart is focusing on Generation Z and is targeting the transition to virtual reality. Looking into Walmart's virtual fitting room, it will be possible to try out afp4 products, cosmetics brand Halsey, and the skincare line by YouTubers Brooklyn and Bailey. Madison Beer and Kane Brown are preparing to appear at Walmart Land's Electric Fest.

Potential and existing customers and consumers spend a lot of time on Roblox. William White, Walmart's chief marketing officer, said this at a company press release.
