$20 billion deal between Adobe and Figma will be investigated

Politico reported yesterday that the U.S. Department of Justice will soon start investigating the takeover of Figma by Adobe, which is worth up to $20 billion.

Over the past week, the Department of Justice has had time to talk to Adobe and Figma competitors and Figma venture capital investors. This was announced in the report.

Adobe Along with Figma aren’t rivals at this point. Moreover, Adobe makes sure that regulators are fully aware of what is going on. To do this, regulators are constantly notified about the deal process. The company hopes to have the deal closed as early as next year.

The point is that investors are worried. Despite the fact that Figma is extremely popular among the public, the amount of $20 billion to acquire a web design service seems too much for investors.

At this moment, it’s unclear how long the probe will take, the period provided by law for it isn’t over yet.
