Ford EV market share jumped 2.2% year-over-year

In October, Ford EV market share increased 2.2% year-over-year to 8.9%. Ford is a top 2 EV maker to trail Tesla according to electric vehicle sales. 

Ford delivered 3,206 electric trucks, including the Lightning and E-Transit, — up 35.4 % from September.

The F-150 Lightning pickup is still the best choice of the U.S. consumers. In October, Ford delivered 2,436 units of the F-150 Lightning, marking the top sales performance since the start of the production. The company announced that sales of Ford E-Transit increased by 71.5% to 770 vans compared to September.  Mustang Mach-E sales were up 7.3% over last year to 3,055 vehicles.

Andrew Frick, vice president, Sales, Distribution & Trucks, Ford Blue reported strong demand for ’23MY vehicles with retail orders up 134% over ’22MY vehicles at this time last year. Orders for the latest Super Duty soared to 52,000 within five days. F-Series pickups continue to be the hot-selling vehicles in the U.S.
