The indicator evaluates changes in the physical volume of gold production by the country's mining enterprises.

South Africa is one of the world's leaders in gold mining. This sector of the economy makes a significant contribution to the gross domestic product of the country and is used in its assessment.

An increase of the indicator value may contribute to the fall in quotes of Gold.
