Chinese make travel plans as COVID rules ease

On Tuesday, in anticipation of the borders’ opening, Chinese travel sites reportedly experienced an influx of customers. Due to the COVID restrictions, China has been isolated from the rest of the world for three years. That is why, despite the growing number of diseases, the Chinese people still have hope.

Tough restrictive measures, such as border closures, have almost destroyed the country's economy. The measures have also provoked public discontent last month. The last time such a big discontent was in 2012, when Xi Jinping became a president.

Of course, such a drastic change led to the situation in which the virus spreading across China is not under control.

According to a statement by the National Health Commission on Monday, the process of reducing restrictions has already begun. For example, from January 8, quarantine has been canceled for inbound travelers.
