Investing in Solana could pay off for companies as the coin sees broader adoption across finance. Despite SOL’s strong ties to memecoins, its real potential lies in the growing demand for tokenized securities, according to Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Thomas Shinske.
He believes the blockchain’s key advantages—high speed, low transaction costs, and staking capabilities—make the cryptocurrency an increasingly attractive investment. Shinske also notes that Solana treasury companies can raise capital at a premium to net asset value, boosting SOL-per-share.
Meanwhile, crypto treasuries accumulating Solana are expected to outperform their Bitcoin-focused counterparts in growth, despite SOL’s higher volatility and lower total value locked (TVL) compared to Ethereum, the analyst reports.
