JPMorgan makes a double bet on UK retail bank Chase

According to an announcement made by the CEO of UK retail bank Chase, a well-known Wall Street giant, JPMorgan, is planning to increase the number of the bank’s employees at least up to 2000 workers during two years.

JPMorgan highlighted that it has attracted about a million clients and even a greater amount of deposits, totaling to 10 billion pounds, or $10.8 billion, to its UK mobile bank app that was launched in September 2021. Therefore, the company has reached these results within only one year.

The bank is also planning to introduce its successful template to other international markets, despite the fact that a cost of living crisis is getting more and more intensified. This crisis has caused serious damage to retail banks worldwide.

On Friday, Sanjiv Somani, the UK CEO of Chase, said in an interview that Chase is aimed at expanding internationally, starting with the UK.

According to Somani’s statements, the venture’s expansion will be provided by its current and savings accounts, as well as by different lending products, such as credit cards (which probably will be implemented first), by the end of the next year.
