Politico interviewed European Central Bank Vice President Luis de Guindos. He stated that quantitative tightening is likely to begin in 2023. He added that the bank will continue raising interest rates in order to bring inflation to a level appropriate for price stability.
According to him, the discussion of quantitative tightening, its characteristics and timing will be held in December. They may or may not correspond to the process of bringing interest rates to normal values. The ECB will act with great prudence and caution.
