A fine imposed by the Italian antitrust authority on American tech giants Apple and Amazon for alleged collusion has been scraped by an Italian administrative court, according to a filing released earlier in the week.
In 2021, Apple and Amazon were fined over the companies' possible collusion to sell Beats and Apple products. The total amount of the fine was €200 million, or $195.3 million.
The antitrust fine was reduced to €173.3 million earlier in 2022. The reason for this was "calculation errors" in the first calculation.
In a statement, Amazon says the company welcomed the decision of the court.
