Tesla broke its own record for deliveries from a Chinese factory

Tesla Inc. produced more than 83,000 electric cars in September at its newly modernized factory in Shanghai. This data was published by the China Passenger Car Association. This data was released by the China Passenger Car Association. This was a new record for the company.

The plant delivered 83,135 electric cars last month. That's an 8% increase over August. The data were published by the association on Sunday.

Last month, Chinese competitor BYD Co. produced nearly 95,000 units, which was a 14% increase over August. The company topped the list of electric car deliveries, still ahead of the U.S. maker of electric cars.

This year, BYD rejected the production of traditional gasoline-powered cars. The Chinese manufacturer plans to completely replace them with a new energy source. As a result, competition between the world's leading electric car companies has intensified.

The quarter closed on September 30. Last week, Tesla made a statement that the quarter allowed the company to deliver 343,830 electric cars around the world. Cars produced in Shanghai totaled about 54% of global deliveries during the period, up from 44% in the second quarter.
