Japanese regulator warns against speculative yen intervention

Japan continues to mention undesirable moves on the traders’ part leading to the yen intervention. These actions contribute to speculative movement of the national currency. 

"We can’t allow price maneuvers in the market caused by excessive speculation," Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said at the latest G20 summit in Washington. "We are closely monitoring currency markets. If speculation increases, the regulator will respond accordingly."
