Russia is ready to supply gas again using the Yamal-Europe pipeline

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak declared that the country is able to supply gas again using the Yamal-Europe pipeline.

TASS quoted Novak's words, where he says that interaction with the European market is still relevant. The politician noted that the demand for natural gas remains, and the Russian Federation has the possibility to resume supplies. For this, it is offered to utilize the Yamal-Europe pipeline, which stands idle for several political reasons.

In May, Poland rejected the demand to pay for the LNG supplies in roubles and terminated the transit agreement. Then, Gazprom canceled the supplies.

Novak confirmed that Moscow is negotiating the creation of a hub in Turkey. It will be used for the additional LNG supplies on the European market.

According to Novak, 21 billion cubic meters of LNG will be supplied in 2022. Novak admitted that this year, the supplies of blue flame natural gas rose. For 11 months of 2022, the level of supplies reached 19.4 billion cubic meters. By the end of the year, this figure should increase to 21 billion cubic meters.
