Europe will soon lose its largest external diesel supplier due to the ban on shipments. In this regard, diesel is being delivered to Europe from all over the world in record time.
Britain and the European Union (EU) imported a total of 16 million barrels of fuel via ship in early December. In case the pace of imports remains the same, the figure will be the second-highest since the beginning of 2016, according to Vortexa.
In December, about half of European diesel imports came from Russia. In November, the results were similar. Thus, the EU is still far from the complete abandonment of Russian fuel.
On the other hand, there is no guarantee that the high level of imports in December will remain the same. According to current forecast data from Vortexa, the average for each day of the period from December 1–15 is 1.8 million barrels.
