Google will invest $690 million in Japan

Nikkei interviewed the chief executive of Alphabet Inc. on Friday. Sundar Pichai announced plans to invest in Japan through to 2024. The planned investment is 100 billion yen ($690.13 million).

The first data center of Google in Japan will open next year. Chiba Prefecture near Tokyo is the location of choice. Google services will be available for faster and more stable access with this center.
