Google ceases the work of its billing system in India

Reuters agency reports that Alphabet Inc Google cancels the requirement of the policy according to which the Indian application developers were obligated to acquire digital goods and services via Google Play automatic billing system. It was done under the order of the country's antitrust authority.

Last week, the Competition Commission of India declared that Google has no right to prevent developers from using different systems for billing and transaction processing. The company was also fined $113 million.

The commission had already asked the company to change the approach to work with the Android platform last month and issued it a $162 million fine for a monopolistic practice related to the operating system.

On Thursday, Google released a policy revision statement on its site as the company strives to build Android and Play services.
