Amazon to expand infrastructure in Thailand

Amazon has recently made an announcement that it wants to launch a new infrastructure region in Asia-Pacific. In Thailand, to be more precise.

Prasad Kalyanaraman, vice president of Infrastructure Services at AWS, claimed the main goal is to contribute to Thailand's digital transformation. In his opinion, it may be done precisely by putting money in local infrastructure. Kalyanaraman hopes that users will have an opportunity to appreciate the advantages of AWS and the services it provides.

Moreover, Minister of Energy of Thailand, Supattanapong Punmichao, said that AWS activities will be beneficial for the prosperity of Thailand and its economy. Building data centers will help achieve Thailand 4.0. This is an economic model that aims to build a digital economy.
