Amazon.com Inc. targets to use completely renewable energy in its business by 2025. According to the company, its several new projects will produce 2.7 gigawatts of clean energy power.
Amazon has 71 new projects in the sphere of renewable energy sources. After including them, the total number will be 379. With their help, the company sets a goal of producing 50,000 gigawatt hours (GWh) of clean energy from its entire inventory. This energy could supply power to 4.6 million houses in the U.S. each year.
The company's new projects include the first solar farm in Poland, 3 large-scale power plants in India, state Rajasthan producing 420 megawatts (MW) of clean energy, and rooftop solar projects in France and Austria.
